Transport Operator

Location: Muzaffarabad Transport Hub
Monthly Salary: Rs 50,000

Job Summary:

The Transport Operator oversees and coordinates the daily movement of commercial vehicles at the transport hub. This is a supervisory or operational role ensuring smooth scheduling, dispatching, and documentation of all transport activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and schedule dispatch of trucks and drivers from the transport hub
• Track vehicle movements and ensure timely departures and arrivals
• Maintain daily records of cargo movements, fuel usage, and driver logs
• Monitor vehicle availability and assign trips based on delivery priorities
• Communicate with clients, dispatchers, and logistics staff regarding shipment updates
• Assist in preparing transport documentation, route plans, and invoices
• Ensure compliance with transport regulations and internal company policies
• Handle minor operational issues, delays, or rerouting decisions

Requirements:

• Minimum FA/BA education (logistics or supply chain experience preferred)
• Familiarity with Muzaffarabad road network and regional transport routes
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Basic computer literacy for logging and documentation
• Previous experience in transportation coordination or dispatch is a strong advantage
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple vehicles/trips simultaneously
