Responsibilities:

• Properly collect the assigned items (documents, parcels, cash deposits, samples, etc.) from Mill or Head office.
• Hand over all items directly to the authorized recipient
• Perform daily basic checks on the assigned motorcycle before starting the trip (e.g., fuel, oil, tire pressure, brakes, lights).
• Keep the motorcycle clean and report any mechanical faults or issues to the transport supervisor immediately.
• Ensure all safety gear (helmet, reflective vest,) is worn at all times while riding. Bear by the company
• Plan the most efficient route from Dhabeji to the Mill/Head Office/Banks in Karachi, considering traffic patterns and road conditions.
• Ride the motorcycle safely and defensively, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations to ensure personal safety and the security of the consignment.
• Ensure the journey is completed within the expected timeframe to meet delivery deadlines.
• Maintain clear and professional communication with dispatchers, supervisors at the Head Office, and contacts at the Dhabeji site.
• Immediately report any delays due to traffic, accidents, or other unforeseen circumstances.
• Report any issues with the collection or delivery process, such as missing items or an unavailable recipient.
• May be responsible for carrying out small tasks or delivering messages on behalf of either location.
• Handling and safeguarding company assets, which may include a smartphone for tracking, a fuel card, or petty cash for fuel and tolls.
• Maintaining a logbook of daily trips, distances covered, and fuel consumption.
• Verify the waybill, consignment note, or delivery challan for accuracy (correct recipient, number of items, special instructions).
• Securely pack all items into the delivery box or backpack to protect them from weather (rain, dust) and damage during transit.
